OCIAM, the Oxford Centre for Industrial and Applied Mathematics is a research centre within the Mathematical Institute of Oxford University. At OCIAM our aim is to pursue collaborative research with industry and other disciplines as well as basic research in applied mathematics. Our work leads to high quality research with a practical basis. At present the centre consists of 15 faculty, 6 postdocs/research fellows, 28 D.Phil students and 15 M.Sc. students. Ongoing fields of research include Biological, Environmental, Industrial and Medical Applications, Financial Modelling, General Methodologies, Materials Science & Theoretical Mechanics.
